I stood and watched you go,
Alone, you go to Heaven’s Throne,
I yearned to follow,
But I am a soldier, a fighter and a lover
A broken smile, a muffled cry
Only the Best are taken.

Each tear I shed,
Each smile I hide,
I show you that I’m not afraid,
Death isn’t an option,
I need a story to tell,
Forever in my heart,
And always in my mind,
Only the Best are taken.

Alone I will walk through this storm,
Everyone tried to help,
But my Anger,
It won’t let me accept a stranger,
You don’t know how it feels,
To be like me,
I miss you,
Only the Best are taken.

Foot after foot,
Step after step,
It don’t matter where I go,
This pain is my shadow,
If I hide it finds me,
If I run it follows,
My shadow is always watching,
I will make you proud,
Only the Best are taken.
