Only What They Want Poem by Paul Warren

Only What They Want

Some people only want to know
You for what you can do

For them in themselves
And not because of you

When they find out that
You can't do what they want

They will drop you like
A hot potato straight away

So go ahead and know
The score for ever more

And don't be disheartened
For those whose friendship

Will go for the test of time
It's better than living a lie.
