Only You Poem by Phoenix1 Smith

Only You

Rating: 5.0

I'm a woman built with sheer confidence
never been bothered by any presence
comfortable with this kind of existence
so proud of myself I don't need pretense

I'm reason for tears of men that's countless
quite aware how my charms affect admirers
I don't budge how they beg in my prowess
couldn't care less if they hurt in the process

until you came into my life unexpectedly
all of a sudden this heart unknowingly
lost all logic and treasured sensibility
seeing right from wrong I lost the ability

I now can't apply my own intelligence
even from afar, away apart by distance
you have way to control my weak defense
I just follow what you tell me, no resistance

not knowing where I am now, the real me
the me that is in you is all I can ever see
just the thought of you drives me crazy
your kiss I continue to dwell on longingly
you, only you, have the power to move me...
