Open Heavens Poem by Sylvia Chidi

Open Heavens

Rating: 5.0

The Heavens have opened
Pouring down with rain
Pouring down a range of sorrows
Like there is no tomorrow

We stand in unity
Awaiting a faculty of miracles
Praying for some form of immunity
From the uncertain
Famines, tornadoes, earthquakes

Without giving us a break
In no chronological disorder
Our earth, our Mother
Has chosen days and places
To reinstate her authority
