Open Your Eyes Poem by Danielle Martens

Open Your Eyes

Don’t judge a book
by its cover.
Beauty is in the eyes
of the beholder.
All these are taught
to us when we
are young. Yet youth
is ignorant, stubborn,
and dense. The playground
is the cruelest place I
have ever known.
