Opened Eyes Poem by Wandering Scarlet

Opened Eyes

Rating: 3.7

disposable is your breath
until it is offered to you
and you face death

you suddenly care
you start to realize
your life is going nowhere

its time to decide
what will you do?
will you live, or continue to hide?

now you see the meaning of life
now you can taste the wind
no longer harm yourself with that knife

now that you have opened your eyes
you can live your life
and no longer exist in lies

Raw and astute, a real 'eye opener' in the John Lennon/Nowhere Man mode. Nice work.
