The secrets, lies, dreams
Are all trapped inside of me.
Secrets that will never be told,
Lies that never meant to hurt someone,
And dreams that were shattered before
They had a chance to happen.

Fears kept me in one spot,
Unable to move on with my life.
I was being pulled back unable
To pull away from my fears.
Once brave, now bothered by fear.

The secrets are still large,
Trapped within my mind
And my very heart.
Such secrets bring tears
To my eyes and I'm unable
To erase my past.

The lies sketched out my life story.
Never being able to trust people
That come into my life,
People that show nothing but kindness.

Dreams were shattered as I got older.
Something stopped me from going forth
With the passion that drove me towards
My very goal in life and my purpose.

The secrets, lies, and dreams are all
Apart of my very existence, but
A new chapter begins with my future.
