Or So My Heart Speaks Poem by Heather Z. Hanna

Or So My Heart Speaks

No one would have guessed,
You kept yourself so well hid.
That the man that you presented
Was not what you represent.
You think of all things.
You feel not only the surface
But deeply like still waters.
You hear and you speak
But listen more intently,
Than your company understands.
They only know a willing ear
And say more that they intended.
As for me, I saw something more
And watched you, the observer,
Wondering what it was I needed to know?
And in so doing, found someone special
That captured my Heart,
Or so my Heart speaks.
Yet my mind chimes in, too,
As does my soul.
That no matter what,
It is to you that we go.
And you turned and saw me
And came to know me
And found that also am someone special,
Or so your Heart speaks.
