Oral, Rural! Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Oral, Rural!

Oral, rural!
At the appointed time;
With the muse of the traditions of the men in this village,
But, what has righteousness to do with unrighteousness?

The muse of life!
White like snow in New England;
But, what has light have in common with darkness?
Burying the dead of war.

The rainbow!
The big rainbow;
From east to west,
With sunshine and rain.

Oral, rural!
With the works of amnkind on earth;
Cold war!
Warm heart.
