Originality Poem by Parag Biswas

Originality

Originals are unique
In the sense of their own
Uniqueness. They attract
People who can be flown
Easily to thoughts making
Them ponder how had
The innovator thought it.
And the innovator is glad
His creativity pays off.
People applaud it
But today, people don’t
Even eye at it a bit.
‘Cause today’s all fusion.
It’s nothing new just the same
With added ingredients to give
The sheen of Gen Y fame.
Why today’s all fusion?
‘Cause people can’t think
Can’t find in their brain
Something that won’t ever stink
If anything, small or big,
Is innovated somewhere
People don’t like it and
They laugh it away, as it were
A youth on dung.
Result is a discouraged
Innovator, who’s separated
From the child, he’s enraged.

He goes to exile, gathers
Everything to achieve his
Dreams and he scores
Far better than fusionists
And people are awakened
In this world. Creativity
Is an example for those
Who fake originality.
