'Strauss' is German for 'bouquet' and 'ostrich',
so it seems the Germans named the bird for its tail.
The tail is fancy, so instead of a Strauss,
they could have called the bird a Schick.
It struts around all show-offy and proud,
so Protz and Stolz would have sync-ed.
I would have even put a bet on Shtick.
