Our First Kiss Poem by Allison Hankins

Our First Kiss

Rating: 5.0

The music played ever so softly in the background,
I slipped into your arms even though I don't know how.

I felt so protected, so overcome with your love,
I still played on the safe side for I knew what you were capable of.

You touched my hand and began to gently stroke it,
You kissed my cheek and it began to sink in.

I smiled back at you wondering what you were thinking,
I felt deep inside that our hearts were finally linking.

A little voice inside of me reminded me that I had limited time,
I had to follow the rules, I would always be that kind.

I looked at the clock and I knew the time had come,
My heart started pounding, my head started swirling, I immediately came undone.

For the first time in my life I turned to you and leaned in for a kiss,
What I experienced, as you can imagine, gave me complete bliss!

You can't comprehend the sudden pleasure I felt,
And that loving look on your face simply made me melt!

A little ping in my head brought me back to reality,
Even though your eyes said, 'Baby, please don't leave me, '

There would be consequences if I didn't leave,
But I would be back, never cease to believe!
