Our Friendship Poem by Liza Mahlubi

Our Friendship

Rating: 5.0

As children we played
shared our plastic dolls
spoke in a language that only us could understand
dressed up in our mother's shoes
we had good laughs.....and good tears
That was the beginning of the rest of our friendship.

As teenagers we drifted apart
in pursuit of childhood dreams
We experienced life differently
voiced unsimilar opinions
Then fun and jolling was the name of the game
But even with the distance and new friends that we
surrounded ourselves with,
Our fondly love for each other
remained casted in our hearts

As adults, in each others eyes
we grew into ageless, beautiful women
but more so into wonderful mothers
We shared our trials and tribulations
We wiped tears from each others eyes
We felt the same pain during life's misfortune
We spend nights talking about our fears
Our life tales made us stronger
But Our Friendship was even stronger.

We laughed after each disagreement
However the best times
Are when we tell each other the worst jokes
and laugh our eyes dry
And the best moment
Is when we stand in front of the mirror every morning
And say friendo you are beautiful
And the best feeling
Is a hug and I love friendo.
