Our Last Goodbye Poem by angela landa

Our Last Goodbye

my tears fall down like rain during a storm.
and i cut my wrist to let the pain flow from my veins.
as my blood drips from my open wound i begin to fade.
no longer can i feel all my pain.
no longer am i hurting or dying inside.
Watch as my breath fades.
hear my crys and see the pain flow from my eyes.
you touch my cheek your hands so warm and soft.
you kiss my cheek your lips so gentle.
'i love you.'
thats all you manage to say.
the words ive longed to hear sence the very first day.
and as i look at your face your eyes begin to water.
you try to hold them in but one escapes and lands on my wound.
i smile for your tear has healed my wounded soul.
but you do not see your blinded by your tears.
i raise my hand to your face and pull my head to yours.
then i kiss your loving lips.
magic, love within you, me, us now.
we smile then i lay back down for my time is all but up i am fading.
'i love you '
i say for those are the last words to pass through my cold lips.
for i can not manage to speak again.
you smile and wipe your tears.
for that is the last thing i see.
my eyes are now closed shut.
you kiss my cheek with your warm lips.
for that is the that thing i feel.
my body is now numb.
you whiper.
'i love you more'
for that is the last thing i hear.
i am now gone and finally at peace.
i am now dead.
