Our Love Poem by Timothy Mims

Our Love

Rating: 5.0

Our love is fading
More than ever, I need your aiding
too repair this shattered heart
That once was complete
but now broken apart
by a growing of unwanted distance
For I saw too much stress and resistance
An unexplained need of existence
I remember when our integrity was strong,
wherever I went you came along
But now we’re slipping
Harder to steadily keep gripping
Our touching fingertips are rejected
Our loving hearts torn where connected
By a seed
Planted with sinful thought
Rooted with a deceiving deed
And grew with all the lies brought
Stop nourishing this thing that stops us from holding on
to what we cherish and to what we belong
So do what needs to done
And in harmony our hearts will become one
