Out Of Nowhere Poem by CHANDRESH SHRIVASTAVA

Out Of Nowhere

The poem sings the story of an innocent Dove who faces an unusual end to her life! Here it begins...

Out of nowhere,
Appeared the dirt,
When I came here,
To be a free bird.

My feathers weren’t grown,
So with my mother’s alone,
I were sheltered
In my Home Sweet Home.

A bundle of grass,
With a pinch of love,
Were brought daily
To grow up this dove.

I kept
Growing up,
The nest kept
Building up.
From the hard work Mom did
to build it,
I learnt what is called
‘Summing up’.

Showers came but soon went by.
Flowers came, but only to die.
Times came when everything went dry,
Still my mother’s love did never let me cry.

But out of nowhere,
One morning in the nest,
While asleep,
Something hit me in the chest!
Mom wept nearby, holding the tool.
And she said,
“To save you from humans,
I did what was the best”.
