'Out Of Office' Poem by Trevor Valentine

'Out Of Office'

'Out of Office'
by Valentine

If you goes on
Holiday
Or as some of you like to say
Vacation
Please spare me a thought

For I know I am not your
Keeper
But I am very much your
Friend
And I worry that I have not
Heard
From you

And yes, you may call me
Sensitive
And I really should
Man up
But I worry
You are not
Safe
And my mind goes
To ever
Dark places
About you

And as summer approaches
Even more
This will get commonplace
I'm sure
So I will not relax
Or enjoy

Call me a sheep dog
If you will
Or even laugh
Maybe
But I consider you part of
My family

So, drop me a line
That you're fine
A clue
A scooby doo
I will do the same
For you

Can you
Relate to that
Please?
