Outcast

cursed
cast from his own
is he the son of a mother
without a father
son of woman
they tease he's weak
barely a week into this world
he's fated for the wild
a barer of misfortune
for this he dies
never seen the sun
never been a son
to his mother.

Poem of the Day

poet Wilfred Owen

All sounds have been as music to my listening:
Pacific lamentations of slow bells,
The crunch of boots on blue snow rosy-glistening,
