Outta All This Time Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Outta All This Time

I live five minutes
away from you
Your silhouette covering
my face soon as we make
eye contact.
A distant dream uncovered
In a bottle.
Outta all this time I had no idea,
The afternoon fastly approaching,
A Capricorn drinking an indigo
Moon, ice clinking against a
sweating glass.
An island of desire dressed in
Sand accompanied by
a flamingo dressed in plaid.
I bathed in you beneath the sun
Dots of you glisten all over me,
Splashed & sprawled.
A distant dream discovered in
A bottle.
I still cannot believe I lived
This close to you & didn't
Know it
