Much like the night,
I look up to you & seek
To understand you in full.
Much like the night
Covered in dark.
I watch & wait for the signs.
I confide in you
& have baptized my eyes
In the light of your stars
My damsel in a dark dress.
I have kissed the caresses of
Your brightest stars
& my lips have melted shut.
Much like the night
Covered in dark.
I am reborn & made anew
Watching you drift over me.
My damsel in a dark dress.
I have met & kissed the caresses of
Your brightest star.
When the night is bare
And the stars are nowhere to be found.
Much like the night
I am covered in your darkness,
Your dress thrown somewhere
Over the stars
