Ovals, Diamonds & Triangles Poem by Josephine Lauderdale

Ovals, Diamonds & Triangles

The pictures on my wall
Are square

Where did the round ones go?

The ovals, diamonds and triangles?

Should they not be
All together? ?
Just like us

The people, animals, trees and flowers

All mixed on the outside
Bright and bold

BUT

When everyone comes home
The frames are square

Perhaps we should stay outside
And
Learn a lesson
