Over The Hills Poem by James Trusler

Over The Hills

Over the hills,
Through the trees,
Grass,
Sand, water and sky.

An eternal wonder of what might be.

An astonishment and bewildering drive,
Shot with fire and passion,
The will to know more,
To find that inner key,
to unlock that door.

Smell the air,
The fresh, sweet, smell of spring,
Reach out and give in to it all.

Plunge into the unknown,
discover anew.

Look at your hands,
Feel the world slip through them and let realisation secure you.

Climb the rope to the top of the mountain,
Dig through to the core,
Sail the oceans.

Let life flow through your veins,
It's a joy,
It's amazing,
It's worth waking for.

Let the blood rush to your cheeks,
stand firm and strong,
Till the last breath.

She'll take us in the end.
And it will be gone.
