The car is flying into the parking lot as I drive to dance
I was parking my car in front of a hair salon
the car was going as slow as a snail
I didn’t think anything would happen.

The next moment I heard screaming glass
as it breaks and hits my windshield
it crumbles down to the wet ground and splatters everywhere
I had no clue what had just happened
and didn’t know what to do.

I heard someone scream “call 911”
something you never want to hear come out of anyone’s mouth
as the cops, firefighters, and ambulances came
people were taking pictures like I was an animal at the zoo,
I could help but feel humiliated,
especially standing next to a window that I had just drove threw
