P.T.S.D. Poem by Dale Totten

P.T.S.D.

Look into his eyes
Past the haunting stare
The horror
Unspoken horror
Things he will not share

Others like him know
They see, and turn away
The horror
Unspoken horror
Pay and pay and pay
The horror
Unspoken horror
Will never fade away

Quiet, so quiet
Not at peace, oh no
Look into his eyes
Others like him, they know
Memories haunt his sleepless nights
Memories haunt his days
Over and over and over again
He pays and pays and pays.
