Pain Poem by Morgan Stanton

Pain

Rating: 5.0

You may think you’ve been kept secret all these years, my dear,
But your oh-so wrong.
Your eyes, they’re filled with hurt.
You’ve nearly drowned in pain.
The day seems to start without you
And the sun seems to shine away
Everything right in the world
Is a lie, a hoax, a trick
Misery takes you by the hand
And leads your life
You’ve struggled for your existence
And fought for happiness
For you, love is the most painful
The ones you’ve been close too
Have betrayed you
Traitors to your soul
Just know
I’m here for you
With wide open arms
I’ll love you until the worlds ending day
And love you forever more
I’ll never think of hurting you
Or causing you pain
I can’t imagine life without you
I’m asking, pleading
Don’t leave the world just yet.
Don’t live in the past
The present is now
Love is not impossible to find
For I am right here
Love in human form
The life you’ve yearned to have
Is at the end of the road
You’re walking on
Endurance, my dear, be strong
You’re almost there
