Pain Poem by Arik Carpenter

Pain

Rating: 5.0

Pain
Your heart is beating
Your head is throbbing
Your blood is flowing
Your vision bobbing.

Walking home
From your date
Something thrown
Let’s test your fate.

Face to the ground
Dragged into the dark
They beat and pound
One finds his mark.

You hear the pop
You feel the pain
There is no cop
That is plain.

Almost no money
That’s all you had
It’s almost funny
But you’re hurt so bad.

You’re found in the park
Laying in blood
No more dark
Laying in the crud.

There was no trial
For none could find
They tasted bile
Those men behind.

They walk to the judge
They beg to go away
But she had a grudge
She told them to pray.
