Painfully Lost Love Poem by Alana Ballantyne

Painfully Lost Love

Rating: 5.0

Hollow cries
Trembling tears
Quivering sighs
Full of fears

I call out amidst the night
Mournful echoes answer me
Slowly losing sight
Of who I should be

Gone are the days,
Love now retreats
Leaving the ways
of lies and deceit

My soul groans in pain
preception forlorn
The daylight fades
Welcoming the new norm.
