When he smiles, world smiles;
When he weeps, world smiles,
When he weeps, he weeps alone,
Mirthful he is to the whole world,
When he weeps in smiles,
And smiles in weeps,
Puts on clothes upside down,
Wacky hat upon his head,
Sometimes upon his toes,
Socks and shoes upon his red nose,
Cheeks looking shiny and rosy,
And eyes always sparkling in the light,
Enough of wacky, nutty wits,
To make us laugh and rejoice,
Before the painted smile of a clown,
God has gifted him with a sense of humour,
And I always wish his heart,
Overflow with charming laughter,
Not fame or applause he craves for,
Circumstance not choice made him,
To belonging to the art of smiling
Sometimes he is seen to be sad and lonely,
While making people gay and cheerful,
His heart often bleeds,
That we fail to notice,
Behind the forced flickering smile,
None but God knows his grief,
Wish God assuages his sorrows,
And showers him relief,
Wake up, my little friend, wake up,
And smile, smile all the way,
For the world needs you and your smiles......
