Painting Poem by Matthew Edan Oliver Palma

Painting

I tried to paint you last night
But the colors weren't so bright
I fell short of my emotions
I need to add some more devotion

Traced your face deep in my mind
Searched for the beauty that I found
You are so gracious and so kind
To your bidding I am bound

I tried to paint again last night
But I could not do justice to your sight
I fell short of hues and colors
Everything's a tad shade of pallor

Memorized your moves by heart
You still enchant me like the night
I knew I couldn't stand to be apart
Can't get enough of your sweet light

I tried to paint again tonight
Now the colors are just right
I've poured out all of my emotions
My complete and utter devotion! ¦
