Palpitations Poem by Alyson Leoffler

Palpitations

Flashing lights surround me;
I lie still in complete disarray as you look down at me and say...
Hey.
Eyes grow wide, hearts pound fast while we adventure through the looking glass
Just don't ask Alice, I think maybe we should keep this PG13.
You're touch is sending sparks through out my memory
Although I hate to admit it,
I look into your eyes and the only thing I think about is you.
This isn't me- what are you doing?
If your pleasure is my pain I would crumble to see you smile.
But
How am I so sure that this wasn't your plan all along?
