Paper Plane Poem by Vikrant Nayak

Paper Plane

Rating: 5.0

Like a paper plane, I want to fly.
the fear of falling, and one day to die.
I acknowledge all, so don't stop me now.
Like a paper plane, I want to fly.

Rising like the north wind, I won't look back.
Come whatever obstacles, won't deter me from my track.
I will collide and die.
Still like a paper plane, I want to fly.

Of a life full of excitement, I desire.
Don't want to be a dragon, who can't breathe fire.
I know the raging winds will be my bane,
But for now, let me fly like a paper plane.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This one comes as a direct reply to one of many condescending personalities that I have had the luck to come across. He suggested me 'to stop being a moron and keep realistic aims'. So this was my reply to him. You can call it my version of 'Go Big or Go Home'.
