Paradise by the Sea Ballad
That day by the sea
We sat in the sand
It was just you and me
Hand in hand
We flew my old kite
High in the sky
We watched it take flight
We watched it soar oh so very high
We built sand castles
On the beach that day
You played with my dress tassels
And we watched the sun fade away
Soon came the night
And we said our goodbyes
I held you tightly in my arms
But with your charms, you undid my ties
That night my heart throbbed at it's own will
And I didn’t know what to do
I’m not real sure but I must have been ill
Or maybe, that night, I fell in love with you
I wanted us to grow old together
And I know someday we will
I want us to be one forever
Because whenever I’m around you my heart is never still
You still make my knees shake
You still shower me with love
You still give and never take
This must be an affection that comes from above
That day by the sea
Dancing in the sunshine
It was just you and me
You, who will forever be mine
