Parents. Poem by kayla simpson

Parents.

They always put on a show,
Claiming they understand.
But times have changed.
They never went through what you are going through.
They say they are doing whats best for you.
But since when is making you live your life filled with tears, hatred, and regret, better for you?
Why cant they just hug you when you need it the most?
They will never understand how you feel,
As much as they may think they do.
They act so cluless.
They must think all you care about is matiral items,
When you could really care less.
They think that if you dont get good grades, you wont make anything of yourself.
It just proves they dont know what you're capable of.
