Parrot is a pet bird
It can speak sweetly,
It imitates the human voice
And repeats words accurately.
It's beak is red and sharp
A red circle is around neck,
It's feather are green
Green are it's wings and back.
It's logs are brown
Brown is the paw,
The nail in the paws
Are scarlet, it is law.
Parrot eats fruits, grains
And too eats paddy,
It speaks in sweet voice
Follows Master's tone ready.
Some people keep the parrot
In an iron cage,
Though it wants to fly
It can't get out or raise.
It has to lead a life of prisoner
It is very sad,
Let the parrot get freedom
We shouldn't treat it bad.
Parrot chirps God's name
And chirps God in prayer,
In a spiritual family
We may find it's care.

A heartfelt plea for freedom of the parrot, a bird of beauty. One wonders what the parrot itself might say were it able to plead it's own case in place of just repeating words. Enjoyed reading friend. Thanks for sharing.10+++
Excellent description of the parrot is wonderfully given, thanks for sharing the poem with us
Yes, the birds should have freedom from human, where They are put into the cage. People need to understand. Nice writing.

Birds long for freedom! A parrot inside a cage will be naturally unhappy even if we give all care and attention. However we like to keep a parrot as a pet! It can imitate human sound and some can repeat certain words. You have included all the details of a parrot in this beautiful poem and have hinted indirectly that a bird shouldn't be kept in captivity!
