Party Crashers Poem by Edmund V. Strolis

Party Crashers

Rating: 5.0

The media stokes the fire, with propaganda spewed by liars
Fools that trample on our rights, crash the party to start a fresh fight
The cowards they just look on, as the purveyors of right and wrong
The lunatic fringe is not content to keep their hate under their tent
The childish ranting begins and that's where the reason ends
If you don't like the words that are said Please put a bag on your head
Feel free to scream to yourself and stop silencing somebody else
Funny how the tolerant crowd decides what can be spoken out loud

Very relevant in today's world. A poem displaying a sharp political awareness. Tolerance is of course much needed. You have described the current scenario with deep insight. Enjoyed thoroughly.
