Pass The Night Poem by Carl Hohenberg

Pass The Night

My heart breaks in a sea of sorrow
Drowning beneath my broken dreams
Till my eyes close to pass the night
And part my tears

I drift off into a dream
I see you in our tomorrow
You are my queen and I your king
Though we are really not together
I can feel our hearts sing.
I reach for you, you clutch me fast,
We are locked in a lover's embrace,
Our bodies and soles together at last
Completing each other, we become one
Only till the light of morning comes

In our waking reality
Your silence is deafening
Yet you still ware your wedding ring
I can still hear our hearts sing
