Passing Moments Poem by Hades Pandemonium

Passing Moments

Forlorn.
An innocent soul.
High tides wash away her tears.
The waves spray and they foam.
In the cool salty air hangs an old sailor's song,
As a gingerbeard captain hobbles along
Thinking about the moments long gone.

Abandoned.
She leaves this world.
The deep blue awaits her
Taking her home
In Poseidon's embrace
She plunges and waits
For invisible hands to welcome her fate.

Lamented.
She gracefully sinks
And rests on the seas bed.
Above her watery grave
Like a black serenade
Darkness blankets the sky
To grieve for the one
Who was betrayed by the light.

Forgotten.
The captain still whistles his old sailor's song.
With a bottle of rum
He walks through the fog.
Beyond the creaking of boards
And gentle rocking of boats,
You could still hear the moan
Of that sad little soul
Who lies in the depths
Forever alone...
