Pastel Blue Clouds Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

Pastel Blue Clouds

pastel blue clouds
stars suspended,
I close my eyes
stretching my hands
to whatever air
has in store for me,
hoping my mind
would steal
enough energy
from the universe
or someplace
omniscient;
just so I could
let you leave
my tired head
to let you drop
from the skies
and into
my open arms
instead

I preach to
the heavens
or the statues
whose bottoms
are weighing
the poor clouds down,
hear me out;
I detest this humanness
I will forever search
where the sun hides
for this someone
whom I love dearly
has lost his way
and I feel it
in my eclectic heartbeat;
I’m not meant
to be found too
