Patience Poem by Benjamin Markham

Patience

I brushed my teeth 'till they bled
last night as I
waited
for the phone to ring the noose
around my
ashmatic throat
The grime in the grout of the tiles seamed
to say 'AT LAST! '
Maybe they can breathe clean instead
