Patients & Strength Poem by Jessica Elizondo

The thunder cracks up above,
keeping time. The reflection
of the moon in my eyes, like a
deer in the headlights. And
my mind? Just as stunned,
more like not knowing. Patients
is one thing I wish I did have,
and not necessarily to find
'the one, ' but to conquer and
face what I need to. Can you hear
me? stupid question, ofcourse
you can, but will you answer?
Ah for that I wish I had patients
too, and more strength at that.
I believe and know that someday
I will know what I need to know,
but please Lord Give me the strength
and patients to go with the flow.
