Peace(Ieces) Poem by Harold Lakeman

Peace(Ieces)

You've worked for a while
And now you rest
I'll hold the weight
In hopes of happier times

The pain entered two years ago
Replacing my soul

I slowly deteriorated
Into a corpse of bones

Miss me yet, dear peace?
Or do you find solemnity in rest
