Pen And Ink Poem by Linda Mary Rachel Haungs

Pen And Ink

Ah special friend, where are you tonight?
While the cool winds dance across my window sill,
I can hear the fragile cries from you still.
The sound that the tree branches make, swaying toward
one another, tonight making me feel calm, yet oh so
lost.
Ah, special friend, you have embarked upon a new horizon I
feel.
Tonight though, I remember how once your eyes would gaze
into mine, how yours would wince and say, 'Oh how alone
am I.' Yet again, tonight..I realize I do, a friend can
only be now and again.
