Pep Talk Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Pep Talk

Feeling to live life,
Outside the box.
Is an experience,
Known by not too many...
To enjoy or like a lot.

And looking up from the bottom,
To have fallen to drop.
From the top as if nonstop.
Has to be humiliating.
For someone like you,
To have this view.
And go through such suffering like this.

"Thanks for your support and pep talk.
And reminding me,
Your best virtue is helping others,
To get back on their feet."

It has to be devastating to realize,
One day you had it all.
And within hours it seems,
Everything you flaunted...
Has been repossessed.
Gone.
All of it.
There are not too many like yourself,
Can feel that blessed to accept...
Such unexpected misery.

"Thanks again.
For your unrelenting words of encouragement."

No problem.
I'm here for you.
Remember that.
As if an 'angel' that has your back.
So...
What have you been doing?
Nothing as usual? !
