Perfect Rhythm Poem by Rebecca Adams

Perfect Rhythm

Rating: 5.0

Standing here,
on the surface of the earth,
My feet are cold and bare,
And there's rhythm,
Unlike any other,
a rhythm that comes from the earth,
I want to dance and sing,
as it echoed through me,
I want to fall cry.,
as it surrounds me,

I cant copy this wonderful sound,
well no one can,
But its a part of me,
and I'm part of it,
Everything I do,
its part of it,
every time I breath,
Every time I move,
every time my heart beats,
I'm falling deeper into it.

I cant speak it,
or sing for all to hear,
but every time I say a word,
its there,
I cant write it,
or make a dance for it,
for all to see,
but every time I take a step,
Its there,

When I step out in the cold,
with feet bare,
and tears flowing to the ground,
I was lost,
no reason to live,
and I heard,
and I felt,
and then I was,
The perfect beat,
a rhythm in me,
a rhythm in you,
A rhythm every where,
and I know,
why to live,
why to laugh,
why to cry,
Because its part of me,
and I'm a part it,
now and forever.
