Perfect Times Poem by Valerie Daley

Perfect Times

There are perfect times to be in love.
I remember sunshine, ocean tides, black sand.
We walked for miles in the moonlight
Commenting on how we could be the only two people
Enjoying the beauty of the silence.
The moon silver, drenching the landscape with shimmering diamonds.
Fireflies dancing amidst the trees.
Stars brighter than any other times.
We would hold hands, laugh, love.
It seemed it should last forever;
Never imagining there would be times not to be in love.

on occasion, the truth is spoken simply, although you stated it beautifully as well.
