Pernicious Words Poem by Aarzoo Mehek

Pernicious Words

Rating: 5.0

When love left, it said
Few pernicious words
In self pomposity
Burn the faith
Burn the promises
Burn your existence
Burn the sensitivity
Stop living and
Prepare to die bit by bit
That's the price one has to pay
For loving them unequivocally

But my response to the love is
Why not burn the bridges
That associates me to them
Why not sink the potful of lies
Which burned holes in my heart
Why not forget the ones
Who never gave weightage
To my ever-loving character.

'But my response to the love is Why not burn the bridges'. Let love remain, but forget about ones who never understand its value.

I concur with the wonderful thoughts of the Poetess. A pragmatic way to deal with those who never value our love.
