Persistence Of Time (Aft. Dali And Neruda) Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Persistence Of Time (Aft. Dali And Neruda)

Rating: 5.0

The quartz that runs my mind's clock is
Torturing my soul
It keeps on ticking faster and faster
That I can't keep up
As my soul becomes a faded soul
With its petals dripping away
They blow in the autumn breeze
And continue to fall into the rich soil
Of longing and self-doubt
But winter is around the corner
And the cold is deadly
As I weep icy tears
I am frozen in silence

As I weep icy tears I am frozen in silence, citing your last two lines, gorgeously worded, profound poem.TOP Marks, dear LeeAnn, I have enjoyed tremendously

Pain, Loneliness and silence, impeccably translated into great and very touching poetry. Quite unforgettable. To my favorites.
