Perspective

Rating: 4.6

If you stop running
and turn around,
you'll find the lion
was just the shadow
of a mouse.

Indeed, perspective changes with point of view, in other words, what you see depends on where you are standing. Fear is a bunch of sinister shadows, a shadow has no substance, it's usually a magnified reflection of something small, that's why on standing up to fear, we usually find it inconsequential. A lovely poem, well articulated, nicely encapsulated and penned with insight. A piece of poetry bristling with meaning. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
