Persuit Of Happieness Poem by Ashley Heedt

Persuit Of Happieness

One heart thats so kind
is so hard to find
a warm place to stay
is just so cold
with this world so gray
a piece of love
hides in hate
i guess this world
only relys on fate
cuz when you have that one thing
that you cant live without
one day
comes one doubt
and eveything blows up
theres nothing you can do
nothing to say
cuz today
like everyday
is a tragedy
the mask hides me away
when i took it off
the world stopped
and staired
and now im scared
to show what I feel
cuz people cant understand
that these scars are real
there ugly and painful
but in my life its so normal
when eveyone elts
is living formal
a meal everynight
people that hold them tight
a warm bed
and a place to rest there head
while im still stuck
in the persuit of happieness
thats impossible to complete
when these habbits im in
are stuck on repeat
i just crave to understand
why im so different
why i always feel alone in a crouded room
why im stuck in this gloom
stuck in the mug and mist
wondering how i even came to exist
im invisible in the world
like a ghost of good
just misjuged
and misunderstood.
