Dream, I thought of a lifetime,
Where did it go to,
Gift, that once brought me such joy,
How do things like this happen, with no ill intent,
All of a sudden, all currencies spent.
I can not buy back,
All those slights you imagine,
I can not buy back,
All the attention you missed,
The distance too great, and poetry not enough
To insure we survived when times became rough.
I do not place blame,
For emotions you withheld,
I do not place blame,
On circumstance you endure,
We might really have made it except for one thing,
A dragon ate us, you still wore a ring.
I now must take stock
Of emotions that ran free,
I now must take stock
Of other's love that's now lost,
Of a loss that still haunts me, that we never kissed,
Of our love, a shadow, just faded mist.
........a beautiful message in this write for everyone....hold tight to your dreams....hold tight to the ones you love...enjoyed reading this one..

I would like to translate this poem
never kissed? a great rhyming word (mist is even better) but............hmm? ..............you had a great relationship, stolen by a dragon, and she wore a ring, but you NEVER kissed? or you used to but stopped? i wonder. i like the poem very much. its overall message perhaps is that love and relationships do not always endure the circumstances around them. thanks for sharing. bri :) p.s. i just reread it to check out the rhyming and i found this; i think there is a typo in the second line. I do not pace blame, On circumstance you endure, - - - - - - p.p.s. i think *Sunprincess* does not get it. holding tight does not always work! and it is not always worth the trouble. of course this is said by a man who's been divorced three times! but i'm content in my fourth; content enough. of course i didn't say my wife is content! !
